In Loving memory of my dad and granddad

In loving memory of my dad, whose anniversary is this coming week, and my grandad, and his generations before him, who are all ex servicemen, and to all those who have passed, since or during fighting for our peace and country. Merry Christmas to all still serving to protect us, thank you for your service and sacrifices, and to all families and loved ones, peace, health and happiness to all, and don't suffer in silence if you need someone. x

But please know how much we keep you in our thoughts. Christmas is actually just one day, but families are forever. If you're away on December 25th, have a wonderful Christmas with your people on a day of your choice when you get home.

I know how hard it can be to be away from your family and those you love, and miss, over Christmas. You probably don't realise that there are so many Navy veterans who know how you feel and thank you for your service. I wish you the best Christmas that you can have with your shipmates, secure in the knowledge that there are many at home who will be thinking of you.

I like you have led a dedicated and disciplined life in service to the crown from Christmas Island to BAOR to the jungles of Malaya N.Borneo Sarawak.and urban places like Sekong Singapore and N Ireland Every time you left base abroad you became a target some places very dangerous. BUT all willingly done as loyal British citizens. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous New Year
